Fire Alarm DesignerPaterson, NJ ( Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing fire alarm systems for commercial and residential buildings. As a Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting fire alarm systems that meet the requirements of local and national codes and standards.About UsAssociated Fire Protection, founded in 1947, is a leader in fire protection and life safety. If you are thinking about making a change, give us a shout.Essential Functions- include but are not limited to:Design and draft fire alarm and suppression systems for commercial and residential buildings.Ensure that all designs meet local and national codes and standards.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.Review and interpret project specifications and drawings.Prepare and submit project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.Knowledge and utilization of the AutoCAD system when designing projects.Attend project meetings and provide technical support as needed.Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in fire alarm system design.General FunctionsCommunicate effectively with customers as needed.Communicate effectively and work effectively with coworkers.Keep appointments and show up to work on time.Attitude and actions are in line with company's mission statement, vision and values.Show initiative by sharing ideas that may increase company profitability and help the company reach its goals.DISCLAIMER:The physical efforts and working conditions are not limited to those listed in this job posting and may change at any time.
