The Fire Alarm Helper will work under the supervision of experienced technicians and engineers to ensure the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Installation: Help with the installation of fire alarm systems, including running wires, installing devices, and mounting panels.
- Maintenance and Inspection: Support routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure systems operate correctly and comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and repairing any issues with fire alarm systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of the team and clients.
- Customer Interaction: Provide courteous and professional support to clients and answer basic questions about their fire alarm systems.
- Training: Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on fire alarm technology and safety standards.
Requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience: Ideally some experience in electrical work, construction, or a related field. Prior experience with fire alarm systems is a plus.Skills:
- Basic knowledge of electrical and fire alarm systems.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights.Certifications: Any relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
