Position SummaryA Fire Life Safety Director main function is to observe and report. The guard maintains a safe and secure environment for clients and employees. They detect suspicious activity, monitor the premises, and report all incidents in a timely fashion. The shift available is Monday through Friday 4pm to 4am. Essential Job Responsibilities
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Prevent damage or injury by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; deter trespassers.
- Respond to alarms or calls of distress.
- Complies with all Post Orders for site
- Identify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation
- Use radios and/or cell phones to stay in contact with Security personnel
- Call for Police assistance if necessary
- Shares knowledge of site responsibilities with new employees
- Regulate and monitor building systems
- Operate screening machinery including X-ray machines, magnetometers, and wands.

- Must be able to report to work on time in all types of weather
- Must be able to meet Face to Face Relief criteria by extending past shift off times while waiting for post relief, working over 8 hours in a shift (adhering to applicable Federal and state Overtime regulations if applicable)
- Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time in all types of weather, including rain, snow, extreme cold and extreme heat.
- Some lifting required of up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma/GED
- 18 years of age
- Security Guard training and/or license
- Have the legal right to work in the United States
- Driver's License
- State Photo Identification
- Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment screening requirements
- Fire Life Safety Director (F-89, Z-89, T-89)
- Verifiable Security Experience
- Previous employment verification
