Job Details

As a permanent Fire Protection Designer, you will be responsible for the complete design and management of fire protection projects to include design, submittal, survey, and fabrication. Designs include but are not limited to wet and dry sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, and fire pump room layouts.

  • Design and manage fire protection projects, including sprinkler systems and fire pump layouts
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure system compliance with design requirements
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and trades to minimize field conflicts
  • Create material submittals, shop drawings, and As-Built drawings
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and field personnel

Background Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sprinkler system design, covering various systems, project sizes, and types
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and HydraCAD software
  • NICET Level 2 certification in water-based system layout required
  • Experience with Revit is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of different sprinkler systems and their applications
  • Thorough understanding of NFPA regulations with the ability to apply them in designs
  • Capable of completing full designs within assigned budgeted hours
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively from start to finish
