Apply today!Job DescriptionThe Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our Building and Fire Protection Engineering team!The Engineer will be responsible for and lead key aspects of the fire protection program. This includes inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems; design and construction oversight of fire protection and life safety systems; along with performing facility assessments and fire hazard analysis programs. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a self-directed environment and mentoring more junior engineers within the team. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston.
