We have created a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Medical Insurance PlansDental Insurance PlanVision Insurance Plan401(K) Retirement Plan with Generous Company MatchingHealth Savings PlanAtlantic Constructors offers competitive benefits; for more information check out our comprehensive list on our website.Summary/Objective:The Fire Protection Sprinkler Helper will assist the Sprinkler Fitter with the assembly and installation of fire protection sprinkler systems, installing sprinkler pipe, inspections, deficiencies, and repairs on various job sites.Essential Functions:Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts, and removes sprinkler systemsRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobSelects specified type and size of pipeCuts, threads, and hangs pipeAssists in the installation of valves, couplings, and other fittingsAssists in the lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installationFollows proper construction practices and company policyPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: NoRequired:Minimum of 6 months construction or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experienceKnowledge of basic tools and materialsUnderstands and practices the proper use of power and hand toolsPossesses basic math and computation skillsMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e., DMV, criminal history)Must adhere to all company policy and proceduresMust be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedWork Environment:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heightsPhysical Demands:This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power toolsWhile performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focusTravel:May require travelSprinkler experience in a construction industryRidgid 300 power machine (cutting and threading pipe) experiencePrior military experienceHS diploma or GED equivalentVisit us for more information at #J-18808-Ljbffr
