Job Description:
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems, analyzing construction documents, and conducting pre-bid assessments to support our project management team. This role requires strong communication skills to foster client relationships and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems based on construction documents and specifications.
  • Conduct pre-bid assessments to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Develop and submit bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service throughout the bidding process.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of estimates and proposals.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure the effectiveness and safety of fire protection systems.
  • Stay updated on building codes, NFPA standards, and safety regulations affecting fire sprinkler systems.
  • Utilize software tools for cost estimating and project management efficiently.
  • Analyze bid documents and identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in cost estimating for fire protection systems or similar fields.
  • Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, construction documents, and relevant building codes.
  • Excellent skills in preparing bid proposals and conducting preliminary assessments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  • Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and understand their application in fire protection.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sales experience and skills to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards and safety compliance requirements.
  • Previous trades experience in construction or fire protection preferred.
