The First Mortgage Secondary Market Analyst will be a part of our talented First Mortgage Fulfillment team. Our First Mortgage Secondary Market Analyst supports First Mortgage Fulfillment in all aspects of Secondary Marketing from investor management to the pricing, locking, and selling of loans. The First Mortgage Secondary Market Analyst will work closely with our Credit Union partners and various teams throughout the mortgage loan process to ensure the accuracy of individual loan pricing, execute rate locks, and monitor lock status as well as ensuring the timely delivery and selling of loans to investors.

Location: Hybrid- Columbia, MD office. After successful onboarding and on the job training has been completed. The schedule will be based on business needs.
TOP JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure the accuracy of mortgage pricing in the Loan Origination System (LOS); Process initial rate locks, reprice, extension, and change requests in the LOS per the established guidelines set forth in the current policies and procedures; Register and lock loans with private investors where required.
* Work closely with First Mortgage Collateral Specialists to ensure successful delivery and shipment of investor loan sales.
* Actively monitor investor loan sale commitments for our partner Credit Unions to deliver and ship committed loans with sufficient time for investor purchase to ensure commitment deadlines are met.
* Monitor loans scheduled to fund, generate funding reports, and reconcile funding numbers.
* Escalate and manage exception requests and approvals on individual loans per the established guidelines set forth in the current policies and procedures.
Other responsibilities and opportunities:
* Provide support for sales and operations teams for pricing inquiries, general rate lock questions, and any other secondary related inquiries.
* Receive incoming mail for the department and redirect mail as needed.
* Responsible for monitoring the daily updating of mortgage pricing by the partner credit unions to ensure S3 First Mortgage Fulfillment has the necessary information needed to price and submit lock requests in accordance with all established pricing guidelines.
* Ensure that the LOS reflects accurate and up to date lock information provided by the credit union partners.
* Verify pricing structure meets Ability-to-Repay (APR) and Quality Mortgage (QM) requirements.
* Responsible for completing tasks by required due dates to effectively manage their loan pipeline. Additional job-related projects and duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
* 2 years of First Mortgage experience with an understanding of mortgage loan pricing.
* Knowledge of RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and CFPB requirements required.
* Knowledge of agency (FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA) guidelines and requirements required.
* Knowledge of First Mortgage operations, Mortgage Cadence LOS, Fannie Mae Loan Delivery, and Freddie Mac Loan Selling Suite preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide financial alternatives with a high degree of accuracy.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Positive attitude with aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Excellent time management with the ability to prioritize workload based on department requirements and member needs.
* Ability to manage competing priorities.
* Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
