Stark/Portage Area Computer Consortium (SPARCC)Fiscal Support SpecialistJob Description: Under the direction of the SPARCC Director(s), the fiscal support specialist is responsible for fiscal operations support services for the educational entitites associated with the SPARCC consortium.Major Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid detection and solution to the current fiscal software application inquiries and effective means of 'trouble-shooting' user questions, concerns and needs.
- Assist, plan and deliver training for users on the current fiscal software.
- Act as primary contact between member districts and SPARCC.
- Keep users notified of changes and/or updates to the current fiscal software applications and supporting software modules.
- Plan, write and distribute documentation as necessary to provide effective professional development, training and support for users.
- Assist in developing various software procedures as needed by SPARCC.
- Escalate and manage incidents with state support agencies.
- Maintain, enhance and fulfill an understanding of the current fiscal software operating system and file structure.
- Maintain, enhance, and fulfill user defined reports and data requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Fiscal Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, understand, and develop instructional software documentation to conduct training programs in the use of software applications.
- Ability to work cooperatively with many individuals of varying skill sets and to handle information professionally and confidentially.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with various computer systems and ability to use associated computer equipment.
- Ability to effectively present information to a group of trainees.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand software documentation, to develop instructional materials as needed, to conduct training programs in the use of software applications.
- Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with many individuals of varying backgrounds and to handle information professionally and confidentially.
- Ability to organize tasks into a logical and purposeful sequence.
- Familiarity with various computer systems and ability to use associated computer equipment.
- Ability to communicate with other employees and train others in the use of computer equipment.
- Four year college degree.
- Currently has or in process of obtaining Treasurer's License.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience with fiscal software and related third party software.
- Proficient knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing software and operating systems.
- Knowledge of staff EMIS reporting.

- 7.5 hours per day
- 240 day contract
