Apply today!DESCRIPTION OF WORK This is a highly responsible financial position within the Financial Department involving the application of advanced clerical-accounting and bookkeeping practices and functions. Some of the primary responsibilities include the following: Performs payroll processing and related payroll expenses duties, to include reviewing, analyzing, and processing bi-weekly payroll for staff. Verifies payroll changes to salary, cost center & employer/employee deductions. Maintains data in Payroll System and keeps payroll support files for any future review. Prepares and submits direct deposit transfer files and prints checks as needed. Performs payroll related expenditure processing and benefits payment processing. Prepares payment requests for the payment of benefits associated payrolls. Prepares Payroll account benefit and tax reconciliations, by pay period, monthly and quarterly for posting to the general ledger. Prepares all necessary reports to process payroll as well as the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and assists with reconciliation of required tax files and state reports. Assists with annual financial reports/forms to be reviewed by immediate supervisor and filed or mailed on a timely basis. Completes required electronic transfers. Assists with monthly payroll account reconciliation comparing to bank statement transactions. Assists with End of Year processing. Performs accounts payable and invoice processing duties, to include receiving, reviewing, and posting all invoices in the Accounts Payable system utilizing the purchase order system which includes processing of Rents, Utilities, Assets, and other related expenditures. Prepares all ACH payments, on-line payments, manual printing of checks, direct one-time debits for processing weekly. Reconciles and prepares Visa payments. Prepares and codes and posts all electronically deducted invoice payments. Provides supervisor with an electronic copy of the check registers for review weekly, and retains copy for record. Maintenance of Vendor Profiles. Maintains weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payable reporting. Perform accounts receivable duties, to include invoicing for rents, reimbursements and other income needs, collection, bank deposits, cash receipts, reconciliation, and month end duties. Performs General Ledger duties to include journal entries, reconciliation, and depreciation of fixed assets. Assist in budgetary reporting and auditing processes. Performs other related duties as assigned.Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position will be headquartered in either Bedford or Somerset. If a Bedford applicant is selected, the position will be in Bedford. If a Somerset applicant is selected, the position will be in Somerset. The Somerset DBHS location is 245 West Race Street, Somerset, PA 15501. The Bedford DBHS location is 1243 Shed Road, Bedford, PA 15522. You must travel to both locations as needed On occasion, staff may need to work hours outside of the set work week to complete projects, meet work demands or in the event of an emergency. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
