Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. To assist the department in the accounting of grant programs in accordance with federal and state regulations for Federal, State and Private grants by processing daily transactions, recording information and reconciling data for reporting and organization of all data. Other duties as assigned.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications

* Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

* Demonstrated ability to analyze transactions for conformity with procedures, policies and regulations.

* Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work in numerical data and to make arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately.

* Must have a strong knowledge in spreadsheet development and maintenance; strong familiarity of office procedures and automated systems.

* Must have excellent Excel skills and in using Microsoft Outlook .

* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to present information effectively.

* Ability to work cooperatively with others; capability to research questionable accounting revenue and expense items and following to conclusion.

* Strong skills in reconciling data from various sources.

Additional Considerations

* An Excel test may be required to demonstrate skill.

Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel

May be needed between campuses.
