Basin Climbing and Fitness is a brand new rock climbing gym and fitness facility in Waco, Texas. We are seeking instructors and trainers to aid in building a robust range of programs and offerings. At Basin, you will be helping to get a startup climbing gym off the ground and will play a major role in developing the culture of an exciting new business and community. Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson/training plans for group, semi-private, and private sessions
- Work with other Fitness team members and managers to create a robust programming schedule
- Inspect and maintain equipment, keeping logs of all inspections
- Develop and implement risk management practices appropriate to your activities
- Maintain equipment and facility cleanliness
- Provide exceptional customer service and creating an excellent customer experience by perceiving, meeting, and exceeding the needs of patrons
- Pursue professional development opportunities in the form of certifications, skills clinics, trainings, and more
Required Experience:
- 1-3+ years instruction in your field
Preferred Experience:
- Certification in your field (e.g. certified yoga instructor, certified personal trainer)
- Experience in a leadership role
- Knowledgeable about rock climbing
- Sales experience is a bonus
