DescriptionFITNESS CLERK PRNREPORTS TO: Fitness Center Manager POSITION SUMMARY: The Fitness Center Clerk is the customer service contact for all members, guests, and prospective members. The clerk is responsible for enforcing all rules and regulations, along with monitoring the facility and its members. The clerk will also assist with day-to-day operations for the facility and work with other staff to provide services to members.RequirementsEducation:
- Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent
License/Registration/Certification:
- Required: First Aid and CPR certification or within 6 weeks of hire
Experience:
- Required: Must be 18 years of age
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Skill in talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Ability to problem solve a variety of situations.
- Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions.
- Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn office and organization-specific software.
- Ability to accurately handle monetary transactions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greets and checks in all Fitness Center members and guests.
- Executes sales process for new and renewal of memberships.
- Conducts tours of the facility.
- Performs water sample tests.
- Provides a high level of customer service to all members and guests.
- Enforces facility rules and regulations.
- Responds to member questions, suggestions, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of fitness equipment and classes.
- Performs facility and equipment cleaning.
- Conducts opening and closing procedures of the facility.
- Oversees the facility at all times to ensure the safety of members.
- Stays current on all new program offerings and updated policies.
- Works cooperatively within the team environment.
