Job DescriptionJob Title: Fitter (Second Shift)Position Overview:gpac is representing a leading steel fabrication company specializing in roadway signage, tube structures, overhead signs, and related projects, is seeking a skilled Fitter for our second shift operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting various steel components to ensure high-quality production standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble and fit steel components accurately.
  • Perform welding, cutting, and grinding tasks as needed to ensure proper alignment and fit.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize workflow and maintain production schedules.
  • Ensure all fittings meet safety and quality standards, conducting inspections and adjustments as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any assembly-related issues that arise during production.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in steel fitting or a related fabrication role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience with various welding techniques and fabrication tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining individual productivity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Must be available to work second shift hours, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
