Job Description:

As the Fixed Income Settlements Associate you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient settlement of fixed income trades in a self-clearing environment. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the settlements process, including Fed, DTC and Euroclear Settlements, along with knowledge of tri-party processing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a self-clearing environment and possess deep knowledge of both Fed and DTC settlements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end fixed income settlements process, including trade confirmation, reconciliation, and exception handling.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all back-office functions related to fixed income trading, including trade capture, clearance, and settlement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices, including knowledge of Fed, DTC, and Broadridge Shadow systems.
  • Continuously assess and enhance settlement processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize operational risk.
  • Identify and mitigate settlement-related risks, implementing controls and safeguards as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, including trading desks, compliance, and risk management teams, to resolve settlement issues and address concerns promptly.
  • Skills / Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years of industry experience in a self-clearing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of fixed income settlements processes and procedures.
  • Understanding with Fed, DTC, and Broadridge Shadow systems.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63
  • Detail-oriented with strong decision-making and analytical skills
  • Understanding of fixed income products, markets, and trading strategies is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of FINRA rules and regulations, with a focus on fixed income trading is a plus
  • Be detail oriented and creative in identifying ways we can streamline our current processes
