Waltonen is actively seeking a Fixture Builder to join our team!Job ResponsibilitiesReport to Independence Tooling Operations ManagerBuild and assemble a variety of standard and non-standard jigs, fixtures, gauges, and related tooling to support manufacturing processes.Examine blueprints and models to determine the specifications and layout for the fixtures.Ensure jigs and fixtures function correctly, especially with complex angles or contours.Apply knowledge of materials, machining techniques, and assembly methodsCoordinate with departments such as welding, machining, quality, and engineering to ensure fixtures meet specifications and integrate seamlessly into the manufacturing process.Proficiently use hand tools such as calipers and gaugesAssist other areas of the shop as needed, including operating machinery like Bridgeport mills and other equipment.QualificationsFamiliarity with automotive and aerospace tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gaugesPrior assembly experience is requiredProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, strong mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with various measuring instruments.High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure the quality and functionality of the fixturesUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in the automotive, aerospace, and defense industriesAbility to operate shop machinery effectivelyWillingness to work overtime, including Saturdays as needed, with adaptability to fluctuating workloadsWelding or machining experience is preferredBenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceVacation and Holiday payEmployer matching 401KOvertime Pay: Time and a half after 40 hoursTuition ReimbursementFlexible Spending Programs (FSAs)Short-Term & Long-Term Disability InsuranceEmployee Referral ProgramAdditional Voluntary Benefit ProgramsOff-site company events & Employee LuncheonsWho are we?Waltonen Engineering, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and will consider qualified applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, marital status, weight, height, or the presence of a non-job-related medical condition or handicap.Powered by JazzHR
