The Flask Repair role is responsible for supporting production needs within the Molding department.
SHIFT: 1st
PAY: $22.93 - $23.64
Purpose Statement:
The positing performs daily maintenance of production flasks, rigging of flasks for new work and maintaining inventory of flasks available. This includes weld repair, barring installation/removal for initial rigging and maintain flask inventory.
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Performing repairs on damaged flasks using appropriate tools and techniques. This may involve welding, grinding, machining, or other metalworking processes.
* Ensuring that repaired flasks meet quality standards and specifications to prevent defects in casting processes.
* Maintaining accurate records of flask repairs, including detailing the extent of damage, repair methods employed, and any preventive maintenance measures taken.
* Working closely with the production team to understand flask requirements and prioritize repair tasks to minimize downtime.
* Enhance flask durability and longevity by making suggestions for improvement.
* Follow daily production schedule to align with mold Poduction.
* Appropriately set up patterns and rigging flasks
* Alert lead of any down equipment or maintenance needs
* Other duties as assigned.
Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
* 1-2 years GMAW (MiG) welding and SMAW (stick) welding preferred
* 1-2 years oxy acetylene torch operation preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Self-motivated
* Strong attention to detail
* Able to work independently and with others.
