RDG Global, a leading fashion house specializing in private label sweaters, sportswear, and a wide variety of categories for top-tier retailers, is seeking a Flat Sketch Artist/CAD Designer to join our growing CAD department. With a strong focus on trend direction and product development, we deliver stylish and high-quality apparel for all consumer segments, including missy, junior, plus, petite, and children. This role is key in supporting our design team through quick and accurate flat sketch creation while also contributing to the development of exclusive prints and graphics. If you have experience in fast-paced apparel design and a strong portfolio in both flat sketching and print development, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Flat Sketching (75% of Role): Execute quick, accurate, and detailed flat sketches in Illustrator, capturing garment silhouettes, colorways, and fabric details. Work with design and sales teams to coordinate high-volume workflow from concept to production. Provide final CAD presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Print & Graphic Development (25% of Role): Develop original prints, patterns, and graphics that align with brand vision and current trends. Create pattern repeats, colorways, and final artwork for production-ready print designs. Advise on novelty colorways and execute print development across a range of categories, including knitwear, woven fabrics, and outerwear. Prepare production-ready artwork for both print and digital presentations. Partner closely with the design and sales teams to identify artwork and garment illustration needs across multiple categories. Ensure consistent execution of artwork in line with brand and product requirements. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Design, Textile/Graphic Design, or related field. Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience as a Fashion CAD Designer with a strong focus on flat sketching and print development. Skills : Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (latest versions). High level of skill in sketching garment silhouettes and developing original prints and graphics. Strong understanding of color theory and the ability to create and match colorways across a variety of textiles and fabrics. Experience with a wide range of apparel, including sweaters, knitwear, woven fabrics, sportswear, and outerwear for Missy, Plus, and Junior categories. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
