Hart to Heart Transportation is seeking an energetic Fleet Maintenance Manager with strong supervisory ability, excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills to engage your automotive technicians and staff, promote and maintain a good culture among your team, and meet the high compliance maintenance standards set forth by our clients. Regular duties include coordinating, scheduling, and auditing of vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to small paratransit buses and mobility lifts. The Manager will be involved in the hiring, training, and ongoing development of vehicle maintenance technicians to ensure that our highly skilled workforce is able to meet customer expectations. Preferred candidates will have at least 3+ years in fleet vehicle maintenance experience overseeing technicians. Minimally qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of team management in an environment with strong operational metrics.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the development and implementation of Service Operational procedures, policies, programs, systems, and training.

Manage and direct all aspects of incoming service and preventative maintenance tickets.

Proactively manage preventative maintenance schedules, repair, and safety bulletin process.

Ensure customer service levels are held to high standards.

Recruit, hire, train, manage and develop service technicians.

Handle escalated concerns that fall outside the service technicians' responsibility.

Promote professional growth opportunities with technicians, track, and benchmark training deadlines.

Manage parts inventory.

Lead and coach team members to work together and assign daily distribution of service tickets.

Through H2H's Lean Daily Management (LDM) process, the Manager produces a daily game plan for team member workflow and sets clear and measurable objectives for the entire team (Review and adjust staffing levels to ensure the needs of the shop and fleet assets are in service and available to meet H2H customer service delivery goals).

Hold periodic meetings with maintenance staff to seek input and foster relationship building.

Manage human resource administration (payroll/scheduling/paperwork, etc.).

Collaborate with Human Resource for support on personnel concerns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years' experience in the automotive service industry including at least 3 years managing a large-scale fleet operation or dealership.

Strong operational management skill.

Strong customer focus.

Strategic thinker.

Ability to motivate a team to achieve a goal.

Effective team builder and selector/developer of talent.
