This is an administrative, salaried position. The successful candidate will be in charge of managing fleet maintenance and repair and be able to keep organized, accurate and up to date maintenance and repair records on all company vehicles and be able to perform routine maintenance and repairs on site.
- Primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of all company vehicles.
- Responsible for completing repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance service. Checks on company vehicles in accordance with TN state regulations.
- Responsible for keeping an accurate record of all services and repairs that have been completed or need to be completed.
- Responsible for alerting the CEO for any suspected or confirmed abuse of company vehicles/equipment.
- Responsible for determining if reported failures are the result of improper operation by crew members, material defects, normal wear, or other causes.
- Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all ambulance equipment as needed, including stretchers, cot mounts, inverters, emergency lights and other ambulance upfit equipment.
- Responding to roadside assistances calls as needed-- arranging transport of broken down vehicles, on site repair if possible, and bringing a spare ambulance to crews so they can continue on their call.
- Available to be scheduled to work on an ambulance as a driver only as needed for for last minute emergencies, i.e., an employee calls out and we have a scheduled appointment to get a patient to.
- Servicing and repairing, or arranging for repair of other company equipment such as stretchers, cardiac monitors, suction units, etc.
- Installing and maintaining Wi-Fi hotspots in all ambulances.
- Installing, maintaining, and monitoring dash cam systems in all ambulances.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date maintenance and repair records for all ambulances
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of methods, material, tools, and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of automotive and mechanical equipment, both diesel and gasoline.
- Locating and correcting defects in automotive and mechanical equipment; performing skilled work in repairing and maintaining automotive equipment; using and caring for tools and equipment used in automotive and mechanical repair work; detailed and routine records.
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to communicate effectively in both a written and oral manner.
- Ability to maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to strictly adhere to established safety policies and guidelines.
- Currently possess a current, vailed, driver's license and/or a TN state EMT license.
- Strong background in electrical, air conditioning, heating, braking, and powertrain systems. To include diagnosis and repair.
- Must furnish own tools.
- Must be available on call via telephone during company operating hours to manage break downs
- Must be available to be on scene to coordinate needed services for the fleet.
- Prefer ASE Certification or Emergency Vehicle Technician. If you do not have this, or it is expired, we will pay for you to take it or renew it so it is current. This is required by the state of TN so that the fleet manager is able to perform state required annual inspections on our ambulances.

- Has no impairment of use of foot, leg, hands, arms, or other structural defects or limitations likely to interfere with safe driving and operation of automotive repair, machinery, or tools.
