Description:SUMMARY: Full time Agronomy Employee with focus on Vehicle and Facility MaintenanceESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Include the following and others may be assignedo Responsible for all vehicle maintenance and repair•Build and develop vehicle maintenance schedule.•Make vehicle replacement and purchase recommendations.•Have accurate tracking and reporting of vehicle hours and mileage. o Responsible for all internal DOT inspections and reports on all Hi-Line vehicles.•Routine inspections of DOT logging devices to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.•Work with Safety Manager to make sure proper DOT paperwork is being completed at all times.o Promote sales and service through our Agronomy Division•Greet people in a friendly and professional manner•Promote new marketing ideas related to our Agronomy Division•Review and manage the delivery support team to maximize acres and work closely as a team for customer satisfaction and an excellent cooperative image•Create sales ticket at time of deliveryo Keep our support buildings clean and neat to promote safety for our customers and our image to the public •Conduct Monthly site inspections to report needed repairs or upkeep•Wear personal protection equipment for safety•Check and maintain our support equipment to meet safety and dot requirements•Maintain the trucks and pickups in excellent working conditions, focus on excellent image to our customer base•Keep inventory clean and sellableo Unload Railcars in a timely and safe manner according to Hi-Line Coop Procedures•Make sure when moving cars, there is someone on the car hand brake at all times•Spot cars in proper location and set all hand brakes•Put railcar connected signs on both sides of car at East end of East car•Connect cars with proper fittings make sure there are no leaks•Make sure valve is open on storage tank•Start pump and unload cars making sure they are empty when done•Unhook cars, when releasing cars to the East make sure someone is on the car and manning the hand brake (failing to do so is immediate termination)•Do not let cars go East of white mark on main line track•Close valve on storage tank after car's are unloadedo Keep shrink and/or shortage to a minimumo Be at work on time and work the scheduled hourso Provide agronomy support through driving tender vehicle when required approximately between May 1st to June 30th. Actual dates may vary based on weather, staffing, or growing season variances.o Provide training and onboarding for new tender truck drivers o Cooperate fully with the main business office to maintain accurate information for our customer base
