Central Transport LLC is one of the nations most reliable and technologically advanced LTL (Less-than-Truckload) carriers to date. We are privately owned and have been servicing manufacturing & retail companies of all sizes for almost 90 years now. For example, we have recently implemented 25 next-day hubs in our network to provide immediate, essential services for our customers overnight. We also hold the industrys most modern fleet with our tractors & trailers having an average age of 2.5 years old. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of:

(6AM to 4PM) ~ (Monday-Friday) ~ willingness and ability to work other shifts and weekends

Salary ranges from:

$90,000 - $110,000

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 3 5 years of industry knowledge and experience working on tractors, trailers, and forklifts
  • 3 5 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in and develop a team atmosphere
  • Experience and understanding of working within a budget
  • Strong knowledge of Class 8 truck & trailer repair
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Excellent multitasking and organization skills

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Hiring, training, and development of mechanical staff
  • Maintain efficient productivity levels
  • Ensuring shop stays in compliance with set budget
  • Oversight of satellite locations with a small hourly staff
  • Managing parts inventory
  • General maintenance and repairs on company trailers
  • Enforce & practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment
  • Follow all D.O.T. and OSHA safety standards
