Job Description Seeking a Fleet Supervisor for a leading energy construction company based in Connecticut. The ideal candidate has experience maintaining the daily operations of fleet management. Must have experience in Automotive, Heavy Duty or Off Road Equipment Maintenance.
What you will do: The role includes assisting the Fleet Manager with the daily operations of fleet management, coordinating maintenance, repairs, and tracking compliance, as well as handling administrative tasks such as processing timesheets and managing work orders.
- Actively oversee and manage a complex preventative maintenance program
- Maintain registration and inspection compliance across multiple states and jurisdictions
- Oversee annual renewals for DOT related programs. (IFTA, HUT, CMVT)
- Schedule third-party PM's, repairs, recalls, inspections, and warranty work.
- Create and process third-party work orders, review and pre-approve invoices
- Manage the work order process, verifying charges and submitting for final review.
- Assist with equipment breakdowns, source replacement vehicles as needed
- Assist field mechanics with locating parts
- Coordinate field equipment rental requests from a large geographic area
- Review and approve rental invoices
- Process mechanics' timesheets; enter all fleet personnel timesheets into the payroll portal.
- File DVIR's, ensure repairs are completed and work orders are documented
- Assist Fleet Manager with equipment purchases and disposals
- On-Board all new equipment including creating unit numbers and uploading paperwork
- Review, process and dispute rental damage claims as needed
- Oversee EZ-Pass program, active vehicle lists and dispute/process toll violations
- Collect and verify maintenance records from outside shops.
- Create purchase orders for repair parts, equipment repairs, and tool requests.
- Verify & pre-approve invoices against purchase orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Experience in Automotive, Heavy Duty or Off Road Equipment Maintenance Required
- Technical understanding of vehicles and equipment preferred
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office (particularly Excel) and web-based applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Experience with ViewPoint software is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and fleet management software preferred.
- Valid driver's license required, obtain and maintain DOT Medical Card. CDL Preferred
