The Flex Operator can easily become a Setup Technician (C-Tech) within 6 to 12 months, with further progression opportunities to B-Tech and A-Tech levels. We offer education reimbursement of $5,250/year for those who wish to obtain a bachelor's or associate degree.Job DescriptionPrimary responsibilities will be to assist the Setup and Maintenance department. This is the entry position for these departments. You will assist in the removal and setup of the die/tooling for the next run. After a run is completed, you will remove all wires and hoses to pull the tooling and molds out of the press. You will then select the new tooling, place it within the machine, and hook up all necessary wires and hoses to ensure the tooling is ready for the Process Technician. Additionally, you will be responsible for cleaning plastic off the floor, machines, and hosing. When not performing setup work, you must be open to working in assembly or quality on the line.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Setup and Maintenance department.Remove and set up die/tooling for the next run.Remove all wires and hoses to pull tooling and molds out of the press.Select and place new tooling within the machine.Hook up all necessary wires and hoses for the new tooling.Clean plastic off the floor, machines, and hosing.Work in assembly or quality on the line when not performing setup work.Essential SkillsMechanical Aptitude - understanding of tools, repair, troubleshooting, and similar experience is REQUIRED.Ability to assemble/disassemble mechanical components.Learn or have prior understanding of how to use a multi-meter.Experience with mechanical repair, mold change, mold setting, injection molding, hydraulics, and general mechanics.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience in plastics, mold setting, or general machine setup is a plus but not required.Positive attitude and aspiration to progress into a Setup Technician role.About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
