City/State Newport News, VAOverviewWork Shift First (Days) (United States of America)We are hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant at Sentara Therapy Center Port Warwick in Newport News, Virginia.This is a flexi-pool role that will provide treatment coverage at 4 outpatient therapy centers in Hampton, Newport News and Yorktown.As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Sentara, youwill administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.Qualifications:
  • Physical therapist assistant (PTA) education, obtained in a CAPTE-accredited two-year associate degree program
  • Associate's Degree for Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Holds a current Physical Therapist Licensure
