Corporate Traveler Americas is seeking a Commercial Finance Director focused on Growth and Client Retention. The role will work closely with the Sales Leader, Marketing Leader and Regional Business Managers to drive profitable growth for the USA division. The successful candidate will have advanced analytical skills, be able to build strong commercial relationships with all levels of the business and be driven to provide insights and opportunities to the business.
About The Opportunity
As Commercial Finance Director - Growth & Retention, your primary focus will be to drive revenue growth and customer retention through in-depth market analysis, data-driven insights, and strategic collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams. You will identify key market opportunities, analyze performance trends, and recommend actionable insights to optimize sales strategies. Your role is pivotal in supporting Corporate Traveler's growth by leveraging data to understand and penetrate target markets and industries.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Retention Strategy
* Develop and implement data-driven strategies aimed at driving sales growth and improving customer retention.
* Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to identify key growth opportunities within specific markets, industries, and customer segments.
* Analyze sales performance and trends to recommend adjustments in pricing, promotions, and sales tactics.
Market & Competitive Analysis
* Conduct detailed market and competitor analysis to identify potential growth areas, emerging trends, and risks.
* Evaluate customer behaviors, purchase patterns, and preferences to help Sales and Marketing teams refine their approach.
* Provide insights on competitor strategies, market share, and positioning to help optimize sales and marketing efforts.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
* Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.
* Regularly report on sales metrics, customer retention rates, and market penetration to senior leadership.
* Analyze post-campaign performance to determine ROI and effectiveness of targeted marketing initiatives.
Customer Segmentation & Targeting
* Conduct customer segmentation analysis to identify high-potential markets and industries.
* Work with Marketing to refine customer personas, tailoring campaigns to attract and retain key customer segments.
* Identify and target key customers, industries, and regions for sales expansion and retention initiatives.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
* Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure alignment on growth strategies and goals.
* Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on opportunities for business development and product-market fit.
* Act as the liaison between commercial teams and data/analytics functions to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.

Forecasting & Financial Analysis
* Support financial planning processes by providing sales forecasts and revenue projections based on market trends and historical data.
* Conduct profitability analysis by customer segment and industry to guide pricing strategies and investment decisions.
* Collaborate with Finance and Sales Operations teams to ensure financial targets align with growth strategies.
Experience & Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
* A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIMA) is a plus.
Experience
* 10+ years of experience in comparable role, preferably in sales growth and/or marketing analysis.
* Proven track record of driving sales growth and customer retention through data analysis and strategic insights.
* Experience working closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align strategies and deliver results.
* Experience in the Travel and/or Technology industry preferred but not essential
Core Skills
* Expert level proficiency in Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools (e.g Power BI).
* Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and Google analytics.
* Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis.
* Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving business growth through data-driven decision-making.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
* Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $130,000 - $150,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
