Our mission-driven approach and unwavering dedication to excellence ensure that we continue to deliver superior products and solutions to our customers around the world.THE WORKPosition Assignment: Flight Simulator Systems Admin - Support the F-35 Full Motion Simulator (FMS) at MCAS Cherry Point, NC, and play a vital role in delivering world-class training experiences for pilots, ensuring they're ready to take on any mission.In preparation for supporting customer training activities we are seeking qualified Full Motion Simulator (FMS) Technicians. The successful candidate will support the sustainment, maintenance, and operation of F-35 training devices. Install components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, and customer facilities. Perform, conduct, and document preventive maintenance checks required for the devices and associated subsystems. Update maintenance data collection records and assist with the installation and check-out of modifications to equipment. Maintain simulation devices to meet availability specifications. Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals or simulator documents. Assist with installations, testing, and maintenance of F-35 software packages. Isolate and report malfunctions and discrepancies to the lowest definable levels. Documents and maintain cabling schemes and drawings. Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team on site to fulfill F-35 training objectives. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed. Comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with JSF program and customer procedures. Possess a current Security+ certification, or the ability to obtain within three months from date-of-hire as a condition of continued employment. Demonstrated background with problem/incident management. Demonstrated background with hardware / software change management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to work unsupervised towards program goals. Strong systems administration background. Ability to obtain and maintain a F-35 Program special access. Willingness to work a flexible schedule aligned to customer operational needs.Desired Skills: Bachelor's degree Aviation simulator experience Proven hardware and software support experience in a training/modeling and simulation environment. Network troubleshooting and maintenance experience. Experience working in classified/access controlled facilities. Ability to brief/teach technical information to internal and external audiences.
