Employment Type:Part timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:Job Title: Float Pool Nurse - OREmployment Type: Part-Time / FlexibleLocation: Germantown, MDDescription:Using the Quality Caring Model, the Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) demonstrates expertise in performance and application of the nursing process to plan and manage the care of patients in the operating room setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.This role reports to the Director of Surgery.An innovator in minimally invasive surgery, Holy Cross Hospital was first in Montgomery County to offer robotic surgery with the da VinciĀ® surgical system.Responsibilities:The OR Nurse plans and delivers patient carePerform scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies during proceduresPerform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communication of patient conditionEducate patients and familyPlan continuum of careWhat you will needRequired:Graduation from an accredited nursing program;BSN requiredCurrent licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrubbing and circulating)Pay Range: $51 - 56.50Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
