Job Summary CommentsThis position reports to the Patient Access Manager in a streamlined, centralized hub that proactively allows patients to have a more seamless transition to the point of care. This position is responsible to assist with improvement in front end Revenue Cycle functions including, but not limited to: scheduling for outpatient and ambulatory, pre-registration services, authorization, verification of benefits and eligibility, accurate payment estimation, point of service collections, development improvement and implementations to improve efficiency and effectiveness for Pre- Access Services. This department focuses on a higher purpose, particularly in connecting the population with healthcare providers and then also connecting them with resources. EducationRequirements High school diploma or equivalent; or higher degree obtained. Certification in business and office management and/or Associates Degree preferred. Customer service skills required.ExperienceRequirements 2-3 years of experience in business, office management, customer service, or Patient Access (Registration or Financial Counseling).Certifications/ LicensuresRequirements None required.Physical RequirementsRequirement Light Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs. This role is a desk position that may have long periods of sitting.
