Overview The Floor Care, Tile Maintenance/Carpet Shampooer is responsible for ensuring that all floor surfaces, including tile and carpet, are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and visually appealing condition. This position requires a strong attention to detail, knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. ResponsibilitiesFloor Care:
- Sweep, mop, Strip floor tile, scrub, and vacuum floors.
- Apply waxes, sealers, and other protective finishes to hard surfaces.
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.
Tile Maintenance:
- Clean and maintain tile floors using appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques.
- Perform routine inspections and identify areas needing repairs or replacement.
- Seal tile as needed.
Carpet Shampooing:
- Vacuum carpets thoroughly before shampooing.
- Use carpet cleaning machines to shampoo and deep clean carpets.
- Spot clean stains and ensure carpets are left in pristine condition.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.
- Prior experience as Floor care, Carpet, Tile Maintenance, Janitorial or maintenance experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test
- Knowledgeable of different types of marble and their properties; ability to identify cracks and other defects on the marble. Attention to detail and ability to achieve a smooth, glossy finish.
- Proficiency in using polishing equipment and tools.
- Willingness to work in dusty and noisy environment.
- Must be able be able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
- Able to communicate clearly with team members.
- Prior polishing experience or related field is preferred

- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
- The team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- The team member is also required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The team member must stand and move through all areas of the casino and facility.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment noise level is usually moderate to loud.
