The Floor Care Technician assists in maintaining the appearance of the facility by cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing all areas and surroundings for patients, staff, and visitors.
Floor Care Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs heavy duty cleaning activities such as scrubbing, stripping, and refinishing hard floors, washing ceilings, windows, baseboards, vents, and walls.
- Follow infection control guidelines which include hand-washing techniques, isolation and standard precautions.
- Has the knowledge and ability to operate and maintain all equipment used to complete tasks such as scrubbers, wet vacs, power washers, upholstery cleaners, etc.
- Must be able to lift or carry heavy equipment with or without assistance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, co-workers, and management at any level of the company.
- Must have knowledge of chemical and hazardous cleaning components
- Must be willing to be subjected to unpleasant odors, exposure to communicable diseases, and bodily fluids
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, chemicals, and sewage
- Have the ability to prioritize
- Must be detail-oriented
Floor Care Technician Qualifications:
- Must have a valid drivers license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of floor care experience required
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to arrive to work promptly
- Ability to pass a background check
