In this role, you will oversee the entire flooring installation process, ensuring that every project meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. With your expertise in hardwood and vinyl flooring, you will guide and mentor junior installers, manage job site activities, and collaborate closely with clients to bring their vision to life.Who we are: Since 1965, Ralph's Hardwood Floor Company, Inc. has been a leader in the installation, sanding, and finishing of hardwood floors across Wisconsin. - Project Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of installers in the installation of hardwood and vinyl flooring, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Floor Installation: Expertly measure, cut, glue, and nail flooring materials to create flawless installations that meet client specifications and company standards.
- Custom Design Implementation: Work with clients and designers to develop and execute custom floor designs, utilizing your creativity and technical skills to achieve stunning results.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of completed installations, ensuring all work meets or exceeds company standards and client expectations.
- Team Training and Development: Mentor and train junior installers, sharing your expertise to help them develop their skills in flooring installation and finishing.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed on the job site, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and proper use of all tools and equipment, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, addressing any concerns and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Work closely with project managers to schedule and coordinate the logistics of flooring projects, ensuring materials and resources are available as needed.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in hardwood and vinyl flooring installation.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of flooring installation techniques, including cutting, gluing, nailing, sanding, staining, and finishing.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to producing high-quality work with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions, including kneeling and carrying materials.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required, with the ability to pass a background check.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Professionalism: Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning.
