Job Description:
  • Working in a hospital setting, this job includes cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, discharge rooms, common areas, hospital operational rooms, and other spaces inside the hospital. Vacuuming and other procedural cleanings as well as caring for and maintaining the floor tech equipment. The floor care position is responsible for total floor care including wash, seal, wax and buff all floors at the nursing facility. Floor Tech/Project Crew provides floor maintenance, including but not limited to; vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery. For window cleaning, ability to use a Tucker pole. Possess considerable knowledge of the operation, use, and care of floor scrubbers, side-by-side, burnisher, vacuum chariot, extractors, and pressure washer.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, bend, stoop, reach high and low, a professional demeanor at all times, no visible tattoos or willing to cover them during work time, excellent attendance, and the ability to work at a fast/urgent pace.
  • Cleans offices, patients'/residents' rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and any other areas that may require attention
  • Cleans light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings
  • Will be required to properly and safely use cleaning chemicals per manufacturer standards
  • Empties trash and garbage containers
  • Replenishes supplies
  • May change sheets and replenish linens
  • Moves furniture and sets-up tables and chairs
  • Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments
  • Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated
