Experienced designer needed for wedding/event flowers, and to book events, for very busy Baltimore events florist in Overlea. Must know how to use email and internet, as many of the leads come from on-line sources. Must be physically able to design, load and deliver wedding flowers. We are always swamped. Income of $35-40K if you work about 30 hours per week from April through October, and 12-15 hours per week November through March. If you want to work full time, which tends to be 50 hours a week in wedding season but only about 15 hours per week in the off-season, you can easily make $70K (That's what others already make, minimally, in this position, some make a lot more, like $103K) Commission with a draw. This is not a salary, it is all commission, but our designers make MUCH more than the same position on a salary (Our designers can verify the income level for you.) MUST work most weekends, especially Saturday, that's when the weddings are During the week you can make your own hours, no set schedule for the designing part, only the delivery part. Minimum 2 year design experience, prefer a bit more experience, enough to know the flower types used in this area, and to be able to pull together a quote unassisted. We are well-established with a great track record, no worries about having enough business to achieve your financial goals.Best part about the job is the flexible schedule, and income that equals about $28-30 per hour, worst part is almost every Saturday from April through October you will be delivering wedding flowers to local venues. Lots of time off from December through March, to compensate.
