Description/Job SummarySchedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., overtime as needed included weekends, and holidays.Job Summary:The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.Duties & Responsibilities (Major):Lead production line set-up including but not limited to testing and adjusting line equipment prior to operation and ensuring production line starts with right equipment and on schedule.Lead all production activities performed by employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift.Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.Reports equipment problems to production supervisor and manager.Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.Performs required administrative tasks, documentation loading of units and HACCP.Inspects for proper sanitation of equipment and facilities; takes corrective action to resolve deficiencies.Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.Performs other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.Education & Experience (Minimum Preferred)High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities (Required)Must communicate well, verbally and in writing. Able to make independent judgments based on written standards and customer requirements. Be detailed oriented and organized. Bilingual skills a plus.Physical Demands (Required):Climb ladders, work on various plant levels, and stand on concrete floors for extended periods. Able to work extended shifts as needed. Able to occasionally lift 65 pounds. Able to wear required PPE.Work Environment (Required):Inside and outside plant environment. Exposed to moving lift equipment, extreme temperatures and moving machinery. Must be able to drive all types of forklifts: push and pull, stand up and sit down.
