Our focus on combatting climate change through clean energy technology, our new net zero climate vision for 2030 and enhanced commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion; and supporting the communities we serve make this a particularly exciting time to join PSEG.Union LocalIBEWE 94SummaryPerforms clerical work requiring the exercise of judgement and initiative as qualified through formalized and/or on the job training.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesDUTIES:Perform clerical duties related to the operation of the Fleet Maintenance Center including the following: schedule repairs and maintenance; comply with motor vehicle regulations; obtain permits; arrange for purchase of equipment; prepare various orders, forms and records such as requisitions; arrange for the sale, disposal or retirement of equipment; maintain warranty records; process claims; communicate with vendors and Company locations etc.;Perform other miscellaneous clerical functions such as: prepare and update various manual and database records; maintain office and shop equipment budgets; prepare auditors charges; classify bills; order stationary and suplies; maintain employee safety and tool records; update vendor catalogs; operate office equipment; process mail; drive car or light truck;Prepare and process payroll and non-confidential personnel related records;Perform clerical work associated with storeroom operations;Perform work related to obtaining and disbursing petty cash;Complete, consolidate or verify the work of others;Assist other employees in office work;Perform other similar skilled work.Years of ExperienceData NeededJob QualificationsPossess a high school diploma or equivalent.Ability to perform operations in arithmetic, such as add, subtract, multiply, divide, use decimals and fractions, and figure percentages.Must satisfactorily complete the Company clerical proficiency test.Ability to acquire a knowledge of the application of Company manuals, as required.Must be patient, neat, clean, orderly, precise and able to exercise care in work performance.Possess a U.S. driver's license.Ability to learn to apply the approved methods of manual artificial respiration, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).EducationHigh SchoolPSEG is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to a policy of non-discrimination in employment, including the hiring process, based on any legally protected characteristic.
