Headquartered in Huntsville, AL, PROJECTXYZ supports customers across many locations and functional areas including Logistics, Engineering, Information Technology, and Alternative Energy.Purpose of Position:The FMS Logistics Technician shall be responsible for providing logistics support to the ADF agencies acquiring or sustaining material/services through the FMS Program administered by the U.S. Army. The Contractor shall be able to manage multiple tasks, across multiple unique cases simultaneously, supported by various USG Commands.Duties and Responsibilities (Essential):Liaison with USASAC, DLA and other DoD organizations, as necessary, regarding logistics support and operational requirements of Australian Defense Force (ADF) agencies that have procured material through U.S. Army's FMS Program.Liaison with the AT customer base (SPOs), Embassy FMS Directorate and Transportation Cell, SOFMS, and other agencies to clarify, assist or progress customer FMS sustainment requirements.Identify problems within the FMS supply chain and advise AT SALO on expeditious resolution (e.g. backorders, obsolete items, delinquent contracts).Maintain subject matter expertise on FMS logistics information systems (IT) and provide training to AT SALO as required. Identify and communicate supply support implications because of FMS IT issues. Provide recommendations for resolution or mitigation of FMS IT impacts to the Australian customer.Provide inventory management support and tasks including but not limited to: price and availability investigations; processing of Not Mission Capable Systems (NMCS) and high priority spares demands; requisition input; modifications and cancellations; requisitions expedites and submission of supply assistance requests; identification of alternate supply sources or solutions; analysis of concerning trends in materiel availability and procession of non-standard parts ordering through the US Army.Assist AT-SALO with the investigation and resolution of Australian FMS billing anomalies.Raise and submit Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) and Transport Discrepancy Reports (TDR) as directed. Provide assistance to Australian SOFMS office to manage USASAC SDRs. Monitor the progression of discrepancy reports and ensure timely resolution.Assist the Freight Forwarder and Australian Embassy to resolve frustration freight as directed.As directed by the AT SALO, develop and provide regular reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) generated from various US IT systems to recipients such as AT customer-base. (e.g. shipping reports, requisition reports). Analyze reports and investigate any supply issues identified from such reports. Use of MS Excel, MS Word and SCIP systems is required.Assist the AT SALO with repair management, technical data requests and other FMS logistics support activities as directed. Secondary duty in support of AT-SALO or AT-SALO 1.Maintain and update Bench Level Instructions on an annual basis required for the performance of duties.Attend and participate in program reviews, conferences and facility site visits as directed by the AT SALO. Travel is to be approved and conducted in accordance with this PWS.Qualifications:Active Secret or higher government security clearance.Minimum/General Experience: Two years of logistical experience is required. The type of experience necessary includes two years of task-related technical experience. Experience in either logistic support planning, material fielding, or sustainment support for sy tems, major end items, supply, or maintenance organization required.Minimum Education: Associate degree in such disciplines as Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Contract Management, Business Law, Economics, Strategic Studies, Foreign Policy, International Studies, Political Science, Liberal Arts, Education, or other related technical, or professional disciplines.Physical FactorsWork environment is predominately officeMust be able to sit for extended periods of time.Must be able to operate a computer for extended periods of timeMust be able to operate a phone both making and receiving calls and taking or conveying informationMust communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingOccasionally lifts/moves up to 25 poundsSubmit resume.
