- Review job specifications to determine page sequence, type of fold, page size and packing requirements to avoid any errors and proceed with the job once making sure that everything is ready to begin.
- Communicate with any team members (helpers) about the job details to ensure that the job is being done correctly.
- Set up and run standard folds on standard paper stock.
- Run various folds, including PI folds and folds using difficult paper stock.
- Pre-set side guide, fold plates, fold rollers and any slitting, score or perforating blades required
- Jog and load paper onto the feeder
- Adjust the machine during production run as required for adherence to all quality and customer requirements
- May log folded signatures or brochures for use in the next operation or for shipment
- May operate two or more machines simultaneously.
- Maintain and record accurate counts of completed material in the data collection system and logbooks.
- Expected to keep at least 95% - 100% of the job ticket established speed with no quality failures.
- Must connect with the Manager/Supervisor on duty with any questions they have about the job before starting.
- Accurately tag every skid/job to ensure material is sent to the correct destination.
- Capture all costs associated with a job utilizing data collection system.
- Keep an organized work area while working and when shift is finished.
- Operator will need to do preventative maintenance on equipment according to schedule.
- Compare against blueprints or previous printed sample (if reprint)

RequirementsREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Meet governmental requirements for employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Perform basic math calculations
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions and Job Tickets
- Knowledge of mechanical set up of folders.
- Stand and walk 95% of the time as well as bending and lifting
- Ability to direct fellow crew members in the overall operation involved in the job. Good communication skills (Bi-lingual a plus)
