Food & Beverage Manager – The Langham, Boston

You will be leading a passionate & talented Food & Beverage team to drive excellence by delivering high standards in guest experience & colleague engagement in alignment with the culture and values of Langham Hospitality Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the operation of Grana Restaurant
  • Prepare daily/weekly payroll and schedule
  • Schedule and conduct bi-monthly departmental meetings
  • Complete projects delegated from the Assistant Food and Beverage Director in timely manner
  • Maintain floor presence supporting service staff and the guest experience
  • Maintain POS systems and update product pricing
  • Ensure maximum level of guest service while maintaining Langham and Forbes standards
  • Handle guest requests/complaints
  • Responsible for inventory and ordering supplies, approve all requisitions to ensure operation is held at par standards
  • Maintain Langham and Massachusetts Health Department standards for sanitation of all food and beverage production areas, including equipment.
  • Act as lead trainer for all Server and support staff related procedures - motivate and coach.
  • Interview and train new colleagues; conduct annual performance reviews for hourly colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Food Service Management preferred
  • Experience with and good understand of POS systems and F&B Menu knowledge
  • Proficiency using in Microsoft Office Suite, OpenTable, and relevant computer systems
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage leadership in a 4-5 star hotel or independent restaurant
  • Knowledge and prior experience working in hotel restaurants or room service operations preferred
  • ServSafe Alcohol and/or TIPS certification preferred
  • Knowledgeable of all MA state food safety requirements and ensures that others adhere to them by monitoring FIFO inventory and visually inspecting food service and consistency
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
