Food Bank Increasing Food Access VISTA
Rural Health Network SCNY (RHN)'s mission is to advance the health and well-being of rural people and communities. The RHN VISTA program, Rural Health Service Corps, will seek to eliminate poverty in the proposed service areas, and expects to benefit program participants, community members, and host organizations. Twenty VISTA members total will contribute to the goals of the project by performing activities such as strategic planning, research, grant writing, training, volunteer management, and coalition building over the course of the next year. Member Duties : The VISTA will support the Food Bank of the Southern Tier's Agency & Program Capacity priorities to enable our network to increase its capacity through trainings, program development including the expansion of our new Diaper Bank program, and the introduction of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) framework. This will include rolling-out strategic priorities at the agency, creating and facilitating a DEI Peer Group, expanding the Diaper Bank program, and the creation and implementation of Food Bank webinars.
