Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To pick up or deliver goods, orders and items purchased from vendors and then deliver them to the requesting department.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Coordinate with manager, deliveries for each day as well as any special instructions for pickups or deliveries.
- Obtaining petty cash from manager for cash orders. Getting receipts for all cash purchases. Must reconcile cash with receipts at the end of each day.
- Inspect goods and receipts for damage or shortages. Notify parts room coordinator or manager if a discrepancy can't be handled at the time of pick up.
- Periodically call manager for additional stops or information.
- Maintain record of pick-ups and who received items upon return.
- Cleaning and appearance of expediting vehicle. Wash daily inside and out, especially during the winter. Must comply with established operator check out procedures.
- Must be willing to cross train and assume other departmental duties as needed.
- Must be willing to be trained on and safely operate forklifts and other apparatus.
- Duties include but not limited to deliveries, liquor pick-ups, lunch pickups, laundry pickups and deliveries, Home Depot runs and mail.
- Additional duties include maintaining cleanliness of Maintenance Facility Warehouse, and assisting with maintenance recycling efforts and logs.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Expeditor must have verification of a clean driving record.
- Individual must be in good health and able to lift and move heavy items.
- Willing to do what ever is assigned for other departments in the company i.e. deliver supplies, local or Salt Lake expediting.
- Must be 21 years old and able to work without direct supervision.
Uniform Requirements: - Shirt and pants provided and cleaned by the company.
- Cold weather outer wear provided and cleaned by the company.
- Personal clothing: boots, goggles, insulated underwear, etc. provided by employee.
Physical Requirements: The following requirements are essential:
- The resort operates seven days a week. Work schedules will include weekends, on call, holidays.
- Must be able to speak and understand English. Must be able to read and write English.
- Will be required to lift, maneuver, position, remove and install heavy items. Must be physically capable of performing these tasks with assistance or alone. Mechanical devices are available to assist, but may not be usable or available for use in all situations. Must be capable of safely operating a mid to full size truck/van in winter conditions.
