Our client, a high end Food Hall, is looking for an experienced F&B Operations Supervisor to join the team on a temp to perm basis. In this role the individual is responsible for executing and overseeing all floor and service-related bar activities during assigned shifts. This Mid-Senior level position operates fully onsite in their Long Island City, NY location. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; our client cannot provide sponsorship at this time.
- Schedule: Must be flexible to work weekends, AM/PM shifts
- Primarily PM shifts and weekends (Event based)
- Pay: $26 - $28 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Provide direction to the floor staff under guidelines outlined by the established policies and procedures; assist floor staff as necessary.
- Communicate clearly and frequently with the floor staff and management during and after shift to ensure optimal service to guests.
- Be a visible presence in the room to both staff and guests, ready to step in and address issues at any moment; resolve any disputes regarding service, payment, or other matters as needed.
- Oversee team member scheduling and training.
- Ensure timeliness of food and drink deliveries.
- Assist in management and operations, including service, bar, security, and facilities.
- Ensure stock is correctly rotated and stored to reduce wastage.
- Oversee and ensure adherence to cash management and stock control procedures; implement cost control measures.
- Monitor and order supplies.
- Liaise with suppliers and sales representatives.
- Certify all deliveries are checked, correctly documented, and logged in the bar inventory system.
- Organize promotional activities.
- Direct and manage staff members to meet standards and objectives.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards.
- Monitor the cleanliness and hygiene of bar area.
- Oversee proper cash-up procedures and ensure necessary paperwork is complete.
- Ensure that lightning, temperature, music, cleanliness, and other environmental aspects of the room are appropriate for our guests.
- This position will supervise all floor staff, including but not limited to service positions.
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience in a F&B establishment (2 years).
- Previous bar experience (preferred but not required).
- Previous Event Sales HIGHLY preferred.
- College Degree is a must.
- Proficient with using Microsoft Outlook and practicing proper email etiquette.
- Ability to manage multiple operational and managerial tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess both solid judgment and be accountable.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced working environment.
- Available to work full-time, with variable weekday and weekend shifts, both day and night.
- Eligible to work in US.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in using a computer.
