Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARYThe Food & Beverage Team Lead must manage non-supervisory employees in the Food & Beverage Department; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Continually train team members in food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Help resolve or find the correct person to resolve guest issues
  • Handle money with accuracy and efficiency, and give correct change. Responsible for voiding and refunding transactions of the team members in your location
  • Manage all aspects of the location operation, from prep to clean up at the end of the day
  • Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service
  • Control inventories of food, equipment, and small wares, and report shortages to designated personnel
  • Requisition of supplies and products needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of services
  • Protect company assets: money, merchandise, and equipment. Maintain accurate records and loss prevention techniques by reporting any shoplifting, counterfeit bills, or any other activities that may be detrimental to the park
  • Take and record the temperature of food and food storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers
  • Monitor food portions, production and time sequences, and workstation and equipment arrangements
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and workstations to employees in accordance with work requirements
  • Completes all applicable department paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety
  • Must be willing and able to handle sensitive information and accurately account for cash and credit transactions
  • Must be willing to work outside of his or her zone of assignment to fulfill general park needs on occasion
  • Ensure compliance with all Herschend Family Entertainment and Wild Adventures policies and procedures
  • Represents the company to guests and other team members in a positive and friendly manner
  • Satisfies Wild Adventures' standards for performance and conduct. For example, reports to work regularly and on time

SKILLS & ABILITIESEDUCATION: Less than high school educationEXPERIENCE: Some experience in Food and Beverage, computer service or leadershipCOMPUTER SKILLS: General understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Obtain full knowledge of company's point of sale computer or register functionsCERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES: An offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate's successful completion of the ServSafe Manager Certification courseOTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Candidate must be in pursuit of a high school diploma and/or GED and have one to two years related food, customer relations or leadership experience preferred. Candidate must also possess the ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret all documents, training or otherwise using the English language
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must have reliable transportation
