Starting Pay: 11.50/hourly + Tips (Part Time - Nights, Weekends & Holidays)JOB SUMMARY: The Food Counter Cashier provides friendly, excellent service to all guests at the casino's restaurant. The primary purpose of the position is to maintain excellent customer service, to ensure guest satisfaction and a future return. As front-line team member, the Food Counter Cashier is the first impressions. They are expected to provide prompt, courteous, friendly and professional service to all guests at all times. They are responsible for maintaining superior quality service for guests, performing their jobs on a daily basis. They are required to be detailed in every aspect of their work while maintaining an efficient pace. Also must be able to help guest with completing payments and other POS transactions.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Conducts assigned duties according to procedures. Greets guests quickly and courteously and fill guests' food and beverage orders.
- Helps service guests as necessary in a team aspect. Itemizes totals and presents guests with the price for payment.
- Operates cash register and properly settles checks. Enters guests' checks in cash register, takes money from customer and accurately gives back change.
- Responsible for accurate control of cash drawer. Understands variance policy of cash drawer and maintains low variance. Knows how to ring up all transactions and all tenders.
- Assists the Service Attendants/Counter Attendants/Culinary areas when needed.
- Records all tips collected from credit cards and comps.
- Handles and solves any concerns and questions from customers.
- Keeps all guest areas clean and neat.
- Complies with all appearance standards. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years old or over
- High school graduate or GED required. 1-year experience in customer service.
- Prior experience as a cashier required, preferably in the hospitality industry is a necessity.
- Must possess basic math skills. Must be able to count cash drawer accurately.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of assigned restaurant throughout entire shift. Must be able to accurately and quickly process all cash transactions.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
