**POSITION TITLE: Food Distribution Driver**

**TYPE**: Full Time I Hourly

**REPORTS TO**: Hunger Relief Services Manager

**POSITION OBJECTIVE:** This position is responsible for assisting and filling in for driver positions of Food Rescue and Mobile Food Truck. This position will be the full-time, helping to pick up of food donations from businesses as needed, transporting them back to the food shelf, and recording the weights. This position will also load and deliver donations or other food that needs to be transported to other food shelf locations weekly. This position will also be responsible for the distribution of food at Pine Technical monthly and any mass distributions. Meet weekly with manager/director to discuss the next weeks needs.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**

**Employee Development: 20%**

* Maintain DOT Certification and Health Card

* Stay up to date on Civil Rights Training and Safe Food Transport Certificate

* Stay up to date and comply with program, organizational and state/federal policies

**Site Contact/Advocacy: 40%**

* Keep in contact with our donation sites and our food shelf coordinators, making sure they are ready for the pickup being done and delivery of that food

* Distribute supplement food/gifts to our food shelves

* Manage the Pine Technical distributions twice monthly

* Manage mass food distributions

* Keep and promote client confidentiality

**Maintenance/Administrative: 25%**

* Make sure that the vehicle is routinely checked for fluids, tire pressure, and daily routine maintenance, maintaining a log sheet of beginning and ending mileage from each pickup site to our food shelves

* Keep maintenance record on the vehicle and keep vehicle clean and free from debris

* Maintain communication with Food Shelf leadership, food shelf coordinators, and other agency staff

* Flexible and available to help as drivers are out as needed

* Follow and maintain food safety at all times, including but not limited to food handling, storage, and temperature tracking

**Marketing/Community: 15%**

* Help develop and maintain positive community relationships with existing businesses

* Follow retail store rules for pickups; especially being timely and clean

**Required:**

* Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software

* Ability to work independently and with little supervision

* Ability to lift 40 pounds

* Valid and current Drivers License and current DOT Health Card

* Must have a clean driving record

* Ability to pass a background check

* Position requires ability to sit for extended periods of time, close vision, ability to adjust focus and see color

* Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
