Job Description:
Job DescriptionGpac is working with a leading distributor of vegetable products in the US and abroad, is currently hiring for a Quality Assurance Grader at their Northern Indiana facility. Our Quality Assurance Graders grade, inspect and provide information to Production Manager on the quality of incoming shipments Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following Grading House duties:
  • Obtain load samples from each delivery truck and check for various product quality characteristics including insects.
  • Grade samples from truck per USDA and customer standards. Assist with the scheduling of graders.
  • Direct trucks to appropriate bay for unloading. Weigh each truck.
  • Collect samples from trucks, grade samples per USDA, company, and/or customer standards.
  • Record findings and notify lead/supervisor/manager of out of grade products.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and a clean work area. Assist in sanitation efforts in other departments as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned (ie. assist with safety initiatives).
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (ie. Excel Spreadsheet and Word Processing). Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percent. Other Qualifications: Must be able to work rotating shifts, any shifts,weekends and overtime as needed. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 per hour Benefits:

Experience:
  • quality: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Bilingual is a plus
