The Attendant provides excellent service by expediting and serving food and beverage orders to customers. The Attendant processes food and beverage transactions using cash, comps, coupons, and credit cards.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting and seating customers
- Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system
- Making menu item recommendations and upselling add-ons
- Staying informed of daily and weekly specials
- Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff.
- Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality.
- Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals.
- Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management when necessary.
- Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area
- Collaborate with dining room, service, and kitchen staff to keep track of all orders and monetary situations, and charges.
- Validate methods of payment, complete transactions, provide documentation and receipts, and dispense the accurate amount of change if needed.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and adequate change is available.
- Scan items and ensure pricing is correct or resolve amount discrepancies; take money in the form of cash, credit card, check, or gift card and process accordingly.
- Clean up checkout area and keep organized; keep receipt paper and other stationery stocked.
- Maintain accurate tabs on every restaurant table's order using the venue's primary POS system.
- Answer customers' questions and find a manager if the answer doesn't solve the issue.
- Ensures all orders leaving the kitchen meet presentation standards and guest requests. Reviews orders for accuracy and builds plates according to specifications and presentation: Ensures plates are properly garnished and food quality standards are met. Maintains line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift. Maintains constant flow of communication with and to the team. Responsible to comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, including department specific training regarding equipment and procedures.
- Maintains a clean, organized safe and sanitized work area. Keeps service station stocked with items such as ice, plates, napkins, garnishes, toppings and serving utensils. Informs wait staff of kitchen wait times and any product shortages.
- Learns Front of House material such as table numbers and server sections. Bags to-go orders for guests. Meets special guest requests while ensuring same high-quality standards. Attends and participates in briefings and other meetings as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
- Always keeps the floor clean and presentable. Maintains cleanliness, sanitizing and organization of workstations and dining rooms. Disposes of all refuse accumulated during assigned shift, including boxes. Clears and wipes down tables; removes food trays. Keeps walkways clear of any debris; sweeps and mops as needed.
- Keeps stations fully stocked with condiments, plastic ware, coffee, etc. Restocks ice bins before opening and during operations as necessary.
- Delivers food and any necessary condiments to guests. Assists co-workers, Lead and/or Supervisor as needed. Follows direction and follow through on tasks given by Lead Cashier and/or management.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
- Obtain and retain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department.
- Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gaming.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Casino or hospitality experience preferred.
- Must be at least eighteen (21) years of age.
- Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours.
- The ability to lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds.
