Job Summary:The Food production associate will provide operational support to the AD of Food Enterprises and across the Culinary Enterprises. Duties will include supporting Madd Love Meals, Catering orders, Events, and the Community Kitchen. This person will also be training and working with UTEC Young Adults as well as staff. The ideal candidate has outstanding customer service skills, excellent communication, experience working with Young Adults, a strong background working with Catering/Events, and a valid driver's license. This person must be eager to learn more about food and have a passion for community service; they also must be flexible to work events as needed, including some evenings and weekends (with compensation). Supervisory Responsibilities
- Train new and existing employees as well as Young Adults on standards, new processes/procedures when appropriate
- Be the onsite manager for event rentals as needed - includes opening/closing building, supervising staff & Young Adults, and managing multiple vendors for the corresponding event
- Manage clients and rental bookings in UTEC Community Kitchen
- Establish and maintain a safe work environment including both food and sanitation safety in order to comply with all regulatory standards in various environments
Duties/Responsibilities
- Work with the Enterprise Team to meet all deadlines and fulfill Madd Love Meal orders
- Collaborate with UTEC Young Adults in programming to achieve above with an eye on professional development
- Serve as the primary liaison for Madd Love Meal client communication
- Work events as needed, including some nights and weekends
- Deliver Madd Love Meals and Catering orders to clients by the desired times
- Provide input and feedback for enterprise planning
Required Skills/Abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with food and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work a M-F, 7:30am-3:30pm schedule
- Active driver's license in good standing

Education and Experience
- High School credential or equivalent
- Experience in catering and events management
- Previous supervisory experience
- ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent preferred
- TIPs certification
Physical Requirements
- Work standing for extended periods
- Intermittent bending, stooping, and/or squatting
- Possible exposure to different temperatures and humidity levels
- Exposure to food allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, soy, fish, shellfish, wheat, eggs, milk)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights of up to 50 pounds
This is a part time position with an hourly pay rate of $23 per hour.
