The most important people to us are our clients: those who we humbly serveJob Summary:The Food Rescue Delivery Driver is responsible for picking up donated and purchased products for Catholic Charities Emergency Services Programs. This person is primarily responsible for receiving, material handling and redistribution of product for these services. This person handles more than 25,000 pounds of product each week. This person is the first or sole contact with donors and must develop and maintain positive relationships with these donors. This person is responsible for a portion of the maintenance and custodial work and must be able to operate equipment such as a large truck, a forklift, cardboard bailer, pallet jacket, snow blower, and floor scrubber.Major Job Responsibilities:
- Transports food, clothing and household items to the Catholic Charities' Building on Roosevelt Road according to an assigned schedule, as well as responding quickly to unscheduled calls and deliveries. Transfers food product to and from storage, moves food and clothing within the building, and handles all product according to code.
- Interacts with donors, staff, clients and volunteers while accepting donations for the Catholic Charities Emergency Services program.
- Performs building and vehicle maintenance to assure they are in safe operating condition.
- Completes receipting and documentation of donations received within the program.
Job Requirements: Education: High School or Equivalent Job Related Experience: 2 years experienceAdditional Requirements: Clean driving record, back assessment required and positive recommendation from assessor required due to physical lifting & exertion requirements of the job.This position is a substitute position to the regularly scheduled food rescue delivery driver.
