**POSITION DESCRIPTION:**

The Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, as well as, assisting servers as needed. They will liaise with management regarding inordinate guest flow, special requests/occasions, and customer feedback. They will also be responsible for overall greet and goodbye ceremonies.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:**

* Warmly welcome guests, seat guests and bid a fond farewell and invite for a return visit.

* Uses organization skills to run a wait-list, gauge the kitchen, servers and overall dining room performance; determines where guests will be seated.

* Ensures that large group's requirements are met, including services needed for small children, as well as for individuals with disabilities or food allergies.

* Inspects and maintains the arrival area, doors, windows as well as menu covers and inserts.

* Multi-tasking in a high volume and high demand work environment and Understands the dining room and menu offerings

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:**

* High School diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

* QUALIFICATIONS

* Must have superior guest relations skills and the ability to answer guest inquiries about the Resort.

* Must have proper phone etiquette to take to-go orders.

* Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

* Must be able to clearly speak, write and understand the English language.

* Must be able to multi-task in a high volume and high demand work environment.

* Must be able to learn and understand dining room and menu offerings.
